The final tally, after all the totally necessary customizations, and some neat rubber floormats, came to around 1 Gibson Custom ES-335 over 100 grizzly:

And using BMW's smart "payment calculator", we guesstimated our downpayment, and got our monthly tab. Its a mo fo.

But ballin ain't easy ya'll, it never has been.

Tonight we headed over to BrokenWave to mash it up with Hollis and Warren, enjoy some jive talk and Petron. A little of this turned into a little of that, and Lisa ended up in the vocal booth, singing guest-vox on a REMIX of "Werewolf in Love" by The Dodoz, who are slick to the bone, and from France.

HERE'S THE RUB. We live-streamed the entire experience, from 4 cameras... the recording, the mixing, the hobnobbin, the Petron, all of it. The chat room was ablaze, and close to 400 people were lurking/watching. Lisa kilt it, and the remix should be ready/done in a few days. We'll keep you posted.

We plan on doing this again soon... bringing you guys into the studio process with us, TO WATCH/INTERACT, from top to bottom. Stay tuned. Its sawn.

We didn't RECORD the live-chat/vid-session (streaming only) but I did fire up my computer and catch the following 4 minutes or so (splotchy volume) on a non-streaming computer. Watch that part:

The Biggest Star in the World Will Be...

Yesterday morning began as usual... with sleeping. The sun woke us up thru the window, and a sparkling fairy sprang through the window, and flipped our laptop onto our sleepy bed, and directed our browser to a Youtube video. Normally, we brush-off all songs/media/videos until AFTER coffee, where we can more aptly focus and think... but the visuals drew us in.

We watched the video, in complete silence, all 6+ minutes of it... and it felt like 30 seconds. We were transfixed, and eyes locked, on this artist, this vision, these moves, the story...

We can't know what it felt like to watch the Beatles on Ed Sullivan in 1964... but we can imagine it felt something like this. WHAT IS THIS? What kind of MOVES are those? WHO is this?? Why isn't this the everywhere?

It will be. We're calling it now, this woman... Janelle Monae, will be the biggest star on Earth, very soon.

At last nights Grammys, she was nominated for Best Urban/Alternative Performance, however Chrisette Michele took home the goods.... Hmph.

Lets all watch this happen. In the meantime... Go buy.
